I promise you this!

It is not enough to fight for the land it is even more important to enjoy it. While you can. While it is still there. …… Enjoy yourselves, keep your brain in your head and your head firmly attached to your body, the body active and alive, and I promise you this much I promise you this one sweet victory over our enemies, over those deskbound people with their hearts in a safe deposit box and their eyes hypnotized by desk calculators. I promise you this…. you will outlive the bastards.

– Edward Abbey

It’s not enough to fight for the place.. this land.. this Earth.. we must get out and enjoy it…. run rampant and run amok in the deep and burly mud of our existence… that is the only way we will truly now who and what we are…the rest.. its just 0’s and 1’s translated on this screen…

Why we do what we do…

These rewards are few and far between.. and we dont always know if we’ve made an impact..  but this note came today and made me smile..

I’m spreading the word on the nature hikes you are offering to the U.S. Embassy and there’s really good feedback – people are excited and want to get their families out into nature but apparently need your support – so thank you.

Also, Sidney’s really enjoying your class.  He came home the other day and said that he now thinks that he wants to change his major in college from engineering to biology 🙂 Great work!!
ENJOY!
